Why Emergence?

Here’s how I went from a high-flying overachiever to a burned-out wreck, and how that fall gave birth to the Emergence Method:

Decelerate. Integrate. Generate.

Picture this: it’s 2017. I’m in my early 40s and, if I do say so myself (and I would have, trust me), I’m slaying it. Not one, but two successful businesses. A full-time health coaching practice with a waitlist, and a side gig growing so fast I could barely keep up.

I worked 60+ hours a week. I was training for endurance athletic events in my "spare time." I was That Woman—relentlessly productive, forever in motion, and completely convinced I was at the top of my game.

The Price of Success

Sure, I missed my sister’s wedding.

Yes, my daughter’s senior prom was the first time I took the photos instead of my husband.

The husband who, by then, had stopped asking if I wanted to do anything together. Because he already knew the answer: Sorry, Babe. I have to work.

Hey, everybody knows that's the price of success, right? And I was So. Freaking. Successful.

Until the day my hair started falling out.

Decelerate

At first I thought it was just stress. But the strands kept dropping. I’m not talking a few extra strands—I’m talking pulling palmfuls out in the shower, buying drain covers, and taking medical tests like it was my newest hobby.

Next came the crashing hormones, the mind-melting fatigue, the irregularities in my heart rate. Still, I kept pushing through. For four years.

Four years of pushing harder, ignoring the panic, denying the reality, until my body gave out. Full-blown physiological burnout. Depleted and desperate, I drug myself into the office of a Reiki practitioner, where I received a message I'll never forget:

"You are ready to die. Let in all the suffering."

This wasn't the answer I wanted. But it was exactly what I needed. That moment cracked something open. Her assignment? Be still. No movement, no devices, no action—just being. I didn’t know it yet, but this was the birth of Decelerate.

Integrate

What followed was an internal odyssey. I confronted a lifetime of unprocessed wounds. I learned how to sit with myself—really sit—and listen.

I came to love the parts of me I’d ignored, abandoned, or overruled. And I stopped trying to outperform my pain.

This is where my training kicked in. I drew on everything I'd spent two decades mastering and added new tricks to my trade:

  • Cognitive Behavioral techniques for reframing toxic thought loops

  • EFT/Tapping for emotional clearing and nervous system support

  • Breathwork for for emotional release, clarity, and intuitive development

  • Meditation to connect with inner peace, self-awareness, and superconscious wisdom

  • Creative writing practices to channel the parts of me that did not yet have words

  • Mindset coaching and subconscious reprogramming (using Psych-K) to transform deeply held beliefs

My academic background in psychology and behavior change wove into my emerging understanding of energy and spirituality, and something sacred was born. This wasn't a checklist. It was a resurrection. This was Integrate

Generate

As I got closer to my deepest truth, something else started to emerge. My leadership shifted. My voice deepened. My vision expanded.

Analysis paralysis? Gone.
Imposter syndrome? Not even a whisper.
And best of all?
I’m no longer defined by my drive.

It’s still here. I can still get more done in a day than three over-caffeinated executives with color-coded calendars. I just don’t need to.

I work when it’s time to work. My creativity flows like wine. And when it’s time to rest? I actually rest, without a whisper of guilt or anxiety.

Today, I bring more clarity, expansion, and presence to my collaborations and clients than I ever thought possible. And when I look out at the feminine leaders I support, I see the same awakening: a shift from striving to sovereignty, from burnout to brilliance, from pressure to purpose

This is Emergence. The Emergence Method was born from lived experience, not theory. And now it’s here to serve women like you—powerful, brilliant women who know they’re meant for more than burnout and proving.

This isn’t about slowing down forever.
It’s about coming home to yourself.
It’s about decelerating, so you can hear your own truth.
Integrating, so you can heal and reclaim your power.
And then generating—a new kind of leadership, one that’s radiant, soul-aligned, and deeply impactful.

This is the evolution you’ve been waiting for. Welcome. It is my honor to walk with you through your Emergence.

What clients say

Woman

Kelly, Realtor

Working with Deb has been truly transformative for me. The pieces of my puzzle I’ve been able to find and fit together— I honestly don’t know if or when I would have been able to do that without her mentorship.

It’s supportive, it’s challenging, encouraging, informative, enlightening. She provides a space and opportunity for inquisition, learning, and ultimately, personal growth that I haven’t found elsewhere.

Very grateful for Deb and her knowledge-sharing, tools and teaching, and valuable content.

Smiling Businesswoman

Makayla, Author & Entrepreneur

I started working with Deb at a time I referred to as a "Life Implosion." It seemed like things were crumbling around me and I was left standing in the rubble.

Deb was instrumental in guiding me through designing a blueprint for the life that I wanted. The changes I desired required a lot of hard choices, reflection on patterns and coping mechanisms that weren't serving me, and a ton of sweat equity. But we did it.

I don't know many people who have the capacity to love you and support you, while simultaneously making you face your biggest challenges. Deb is an architect, and she can help you build your dreams, if you're willing to do the work.

Hilary, Attorney & Mediator

It's hard for me to put into words how much Deb has helped me understand and grow my business over the last few months. She has not only helped me reframe my thoughts, but my entire concept of my business, my busy-ness, and my life structure.

Deb is a butt-kicker but also a tremendous support, always offering up a True North of guidance. The first change I noticed was that every aspect of my life slowed down and came into perspective. Slow enough that I could see the moving parts. Deb then helped me rearrange and rebuild a life I enjoy living, in my business, and in my whole heart. I wouldn't be where I am right now (on the brink of something truly grand, a big idea) without Deb and her mirrored compass.
